Emergency BRIMS System Upgrade and Anticipated Downtime

The Botswana Medicines Regulatory Authority (BoMRA) wishes to inform all stakeholders that an emergency upgrade of the Botswana Regulatory Information Management System (BRIMS) is being undertaken to update the PHP versions on the affected systems as part of ongoing efforts to maintain system security, stability, and reliability.

The upgrade is scheduled to take place from 26 to 30 October 2026, with maintenance activities planned outside normal working hours to minimise disruption to business operations.

During this period, users may experience intermittent service disruptions or temporary unavailability of the affected systems. Stakeholders are advised to plan their activities accordingly and to submit applications, documents, and other transactions well in advance to minimise potential inconvenience.

BoMRA regrets any inconvenience this maintenance may cause and appreciates stakeholders’ patience, cooperation, and understanding as we work to ensure the continued security and reliability of our systems.
