Corporate Strategy - Overview

Insert a meaningful line to evaluate the headline.

BoMRA’s strategic plan was developed against the backdrop of lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, which underscored the critical importance of collaborative efforts both within the African region and globally.

The plan is now actively guiding the Authority’s initiatives. Engagement with national agencies, professional associations, and patient organisations is pivotal in enhancing regulatory effectiveness, allowing countries to tailor their approaches to meet the specific needs of the health system.

Patients, as primary consumers of medicines and other health products, represent the Authority’s most crucial stakeholder group.

Our strategic plan is committed to nurturing deeper key stakeholder engagement (with a focus on patient engagement), which should lead to more comprehensive and well-informed regulatory decisions.

It also aligns with the mandate intentions of the Authority and the universal healthcare agenda of Botswana as pronounced in Vision 2036, the Transitional National Development Plan (2023 – 2025) and the Public Health Policy.
