Strategic Planning & Execution
Our Strategic Planning & Execution
2019 – 24 MAP
BoMRA’s inaugural Corporate Strategy was developed at the Authority’s establishment and represented an ambitious agenda: to build a fully functional, internationally recognised medicines regulatory authority from the ground up, in a compressed five-year timeframe. The Strategy was anchored on four strategic goals, supported by the WHO Global Benchmarking Tool (GBT) framework and implemented through a Balanced Scorecard management approach.
The Authority entered the 2025–2030 period on a significantly strengthened footing with established systems, enhanced institutional credibility, improved resource alignment, and clear national backing. This creates a firm platform for advancing toward higher levels of regulatory maturity and delivering measurable public health outcomes in line with Botswana’s broader development objectives
