The Botswana Medicines Regulatory Authority (BoMRA) invites Complementary Medicines stakeholders including; (MAHs, Manufacturers, Distributors, Authorized Representatives etc.) to participate in a stakeholder engagement to discuss various issues as stated below.
Registration Guidelines Amendments:
The Complementary Medicines Guideline has been revised to incorporate a riskbased approach to the assessment of complementary medicines
Complementary Medicines Regulation:
A refresher will be provided on the applicable processes for complementary medicines, including common deficiencies.
Complementary Medicine Register:
As the register is being fully migrated, all previously authorized products (Old products and listed products) must be transferred onto the BRIMS platform to enhance permit issuance.
Food-Medicine Interphase Prod:
A discussion will be held on the classification of food and the scope it covers.
The sessions will be scheduled as follows:
The engagement will be virtual with sessions on Tuesday the 28th of October 2025 from 0830 to 1220 hrs.
